As Royalplank requires sanding after installation, it must be glued down.
Although Royalplank can be installed as a DIY project, we do recommend using a professional for sanding and finishing. Feel free to contact us for recommendations.

Installation recommendation:
All subfloors must be level to industry standards
No acclimatizing is necessary – open the packs just prior to installation
If installed over a concrete slab the slab has to be level, cured and dry. A moisture barrier must be applied according to the manufacture’s recommendations
RoyalPlank™ must get installed as a glue down installation only
We recommend industry standard adhesives (Selleys, SIKA, Bostik or similar) which should get trowled onto the subfloor
No adhesive needs to get applied between the tongue and groove
Please make sure to leave sufficient expansion gaps around the parameters
After the installation the installed area must get weighted overnight
RoyalPlank™ must settle for at least 7 days before it gets sanded and coated
We recommend common oils and polyurethanes from the industry to finish off RoyalPlank™
Disclaimer: It is the installers/owners responsibility to determine if the sub-floor is acceptable for the timber flooring installation. Quality Floors Ltd (QFL) is not responsible for timber flooring failure due to sub-floor deficiencies or lack of preparation. RoyalPlank is a natural wood product. Therefore natural variations in colour, tone and grain are to expect. It is the installers or owners responsibility to inspect each RoyalPlank board carefully before installation. QFL does not take responsibility for boards with visible defects once they are installed. OFL will not take any responsibility for moisture issues caused by the subfloor, plumber or faulty appliances. QFL can not hold liable for any installation related potential issues e.g. expansion, coating method, etc.
ROYAL PLANK MAINTENANCE
Maintenance of your Royalplank floor depends on the type of finish. Please request this information from the applicator (contractor who finishes the Royalplank).
The main rules are:
Do not use excessive water!
Never ever use a steam mop!
Vacuum or dry mop the floor whenever needed.
The floor should be dry after 1 minute

10 Year Limited Residential Warranty
Limited Warranty Program The warranties listed below apply to unfinished engineered Lalegno products, such as the Royalplank.
Structural Warranty: Quality Floors Ltd (QFL) is only responsible for manufacturing faults. This guarantee is valid for 10 years from the moment of purchase.
Warranty Coverage in General: It is imperative that all installations are done in compliance with the procedures outlined in the QFL installation instructions (see Installation Guide). Failure to install in accordance with these instructions will void all warranties.
The sole obligation and liability of QFL under our stated warranties, is to replace the floor components, in part or in whole. This means that QFL cannot be held liable for labour costs, man-hours, the cost of additional materials or other loss incurred.
The guarantee covers normal use of the floor but is null and void if the floor is installed in damp or humid spaces. No warranty coverage is provided for flooring that contains obvious defects of any kind prior to installation, but was installed nonetheless. If prior to installation you discover any flooring that has obvious defects please contact QFL immediately.
Exclusions and Liability Limitations QFL Warranty described above will not apply and QFL will not in any way be liable in the event of: The floor is designed to perform in an environmentally controlled structure. We highly recommend an Equilibrium air humidity of 55% (±10%) and an Equilibrium air temperature of ± 20°C. Natural wood characteristics such as mineral streaks, small knots, grain variations, etc. are normal characteristics and are not construed as defects. Nature leaves no two pieces of wood the same and colour or other variations can occur. We cannot warrant against natural variations or the normal minor differences between colour samples and the colour of installed floors. The appearance of colour changes, the occurrence of openings and/or open seams, surface variations and malformations, for example from ageing of the floor, climatic changes or use, are not covered by this guarantee. The warranty does not cover natural colour changes to any products, which result from UV light. Area rugs should be moved periodically to minimize the effects of ultraviolet light on hardwood floors. Only cleaning and maintenance products approved by QFL are appropriate for use on our products. Use of Non-QFL approved cleaners and maintenance products or any oil soap or ammonia- based cleaners will void all warranties. For a current list of approved products please call +64 9 443 0747. The warranty does not cover damage arising from accidents abuse, high heels, grit, scratches, or dents. QFL's warranty excludes and will not pay consequential or incidental damages associated with any warranty claim. The warranty does not cover insect infestation, scratches or stains caused by domestic pets. Moisture related issues caused by the subfloor; trades people or faulty appliances are not covered under this warranty. All warranties are limited to the original purchaser only. The use of putties during and after the installation of hardwood flooring is considered normal and is not cause for a claim against this warranty.
This warranty does not extend to sanding and finishing of the product and or any alteration to the unfinished timber engineered surface prior or after installation.
